Are you a yoga teacher looking for a refresher or more practice to increase confidence in hands on adjustments or a yoga student looking to learn more? In this workshop you will learn how to provide hands-on assists to your students (or yourself!) as well as how to adjust in a safe and effective way. We will focus on some common problems seen in common yoga postures and how to correct them. Trying to help students or yourself twist or backbend safely? How to read the student body and tell what they need and so much more.
Hosted by Jenifer Krause, a Master Reiki healer, intuitive massage therapist, hypnotherapist and Ashtanga yoga teacher for over a decade, she knows how important these things are to create confidence as a teacher, to aid in repetitive motion in order to safely use joints, and increase strength & flexibility.
Back bending
If there is anything we all need, it is more backbends. In our society, we are constantly leaning over and bending forward. Our spines want movement and generally we are not doing it enough. No matter your level of experience, you will get a chance to dive deeper into the world of back bending. Learn to create a strong foundation and explore the opening of your heart.
What you will learn in this 3 hour workshop:
~Anatomy of the spine and yogic philosophy surrounding it.
~Why back bending is so important.
~Emotional aspects that may arise and how to work through blockages.
~Back bending drills to work step by step into progressing through deeper backbends in a safe and stable way.
Yamas & Niyamas
The yamas and niyamas—the ethical restraints and observances outlined in Patanjali's Yoga Sutra—can help us address these common human questions. Exploring these concepts in depth can lead to a more fulfilling life and a deeper understanding of what it means to practice yoga.
Join Jenifer Krause as we dive deeper and learn or sharpen your understanding of how to implement the yamas and niyamas into your practice. Along the way, Jenifer shares how real life practitioners, herself included, have used these concepts to transform their lives. Each week we will work with one concept, defining what it means and how to bring it into practice and integrate it in this modern day age.
This course is both relatable and inspiring. It's the perfect chance to re-ignite your practice motivations on and off the mat, and awaken a more balanced relationship to yourself and the world in which you are a part.

Pranayama: Breath Work
Pranayama is the yogic practice of focusing on breath. In Sanskrit, prana means "vital life force", and yama means to gain control. In yoga, breath is associated with the prana, thus, pranayama is a means to elevate the prana shakti, or life energies.
In this breathe work class you will learn different types of breathing to gain control of your breath and increase oxygen into your system.
